In a rural location next to the owners house, this cottage is a small converted outbuilding, single storey with an attic twin-bedroom up steep stairs from the living area. It is open plan with a double bedroom and bathroom on one level leading off the kitchen/dining/living space. The bathroom has a narrow door without any rails etc. The bed has space either side but would have to be pushed to the wall to accommodate a wheelchair. Flooring is wood with a carpeted area for 2 sofas and TV, with remote control. Lighting is ceiling spotlights and lamps, switches and lights vary in height. The entrance door has one step (portable ramp available) with plenty of parking on gravel drive and lawned garden accessible. This does not sound very wheelchair friendly but I have had a quadriplegic friend staying many times successfully. Of course this is with a carer and he was unable to use the bath.
