This stone built Welsh Farmhouse is located in a rural location in the National Park. The drive is accessed by a large farm gate and there is ample parking for several cars. The ground is gravel covered so there is little chance of slippery conditions occurring. The gravel is sufficiently compacted to allow the use of a wheelchair. The drive slopes from the gate down to the house. As you approach the house you can access the front door through the garden gate. This is wide enough for wheelchair access. The rear door access is via stone steps and unsuitable for the infirm or young children. The front patio is flat but slopes slightly away from the house. Access through the front door is over a 25mm threshold strip onto coir matting. The lounge and dining room doors are either side of the entrance and both lead through to the kitchen. There is plenty of space on the ground floor and it is uncluttered. There is access to the side patio overlooking the river through the patio doors in the lounge. These doors have a 50mm threshold. The patio is flat and level but there are no safety rails on the river edge so a wheel chair user will require supervision. Access to the bedrooms, bathroom and en-suite are via the stairs. The stairs have heavy duty brass handrails on either side securely fixed and bolted to the stone walls. There are wide and are safe for young children and older people with supervision. The doors on the first floor are a little too narrow for a wheel chair as they are the original doors. The bathroom has a low level WC and a hand rail to assist getting into the bath. There is also a shower head that can be used to assist in bathing. The shower door has a handle attached and can swivel aside to allow those less able to access the show end of the bath and the taps. There is a wall mounted hairdryer in the bathroom which is IP65 rated (suitable for bathroom use) which can be accessed by a wheelchair user. The bathroom mirror is activated by passing a hand near to the right hand side of the mirror to switch on or off. The extractor fan is automatically activated when the lights are switched on. Some of the walls in the house are natural stone including the staircase and entrance lobby. There is plenty of lighting throughout the property and all televisions, including bedrooms have remote controls. There is a telephone which can be accessed by a wheel chair user. The washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge and cooker can all be accessed by a wheelchair user. All electric power points are at a low level except for those above the kitchen worktops. With exception of the kitchen and the bathroom which are tiled, all other areas are carpeted.
