This cottage near Dolgellau is on a working sheep farm at Brithdir in Snowdonia National Park, 2 miles east of the historic town of Dolgellau and with beautiful views of the countryside and mountains. Adjoining the owners' farmhouse B&B, the barn has been converted to a high standard and comprises three bedrooms (double, twin and single), a ground floor bath/shower room, fitted kitchen including slim dishwasher, and living room with Sky TV, DVD & CD player; oil central heating. Utility outbuilding with washing machine, tumble dryer and lockable bike storage. This Dolgellau cottage has a lawned area with picnic bench, barbecue and chimenea; a range of games, films & outdoor toys. Good hotel 1 mile, shops & pubs 2 miles. Excellent walking (close to Cadair Idris), mountain biking (Coed-y-Brenin) and within 20 mins drive of the sandy beaches at Barmouth and Fairbourne. No smoking inside. Towels provided.

This 500 year old barn was renovated in 2007 to provide a high standard of accommodation which should meet most needs. The property is accessed along a private drive through a single gate entrance leading into a large tarmac area with enough parking for three cars, and vehicles can unload directly outside the front gate. There is an outside light and leading from this area is a flat garden area with a picnic table. The ground floor of the property is all on one level and there is plenty of room to manoeuvre a wheelchair with all doors having a clear opening of at least 800mm.Ground floor accommodation comprises of a lounge/kitchen/diner and one bathroom. The staircase (which rises from living area) has a turn near the bottom + middle and a handrail on the right hand side. First floor accommodation comprises of a landing leading to a double bedded room, and another room with 2 single beds and another single room. Walls throughout are mostly pale with oak stained doors and door frames. Most electric sockets and power points are approximately 110mm above floor level. There is plenty of additional lighting throughout. There is Sky TV with DVD and teletext. There is no phone but good mobile phone signal across networks. The owners live in adjacent accommodation, if required for information, assistance or emergencies.
