Stepped access (15 steps) down to the property from the garage and parking area has the benefit of one continuous support handrail with each step highlighted with luminous paint. There are heat sensitive security lights located at the access and side of the bungalow. Access to the front garden and patio areas is by means of paved/concrete paths. Access to the doors and perimeter of the bungalow is free from overhanging plants and hedges. The bungalow has the benefit of level floor surfaces throughout. Each room has self closing doors which are decorated to contrast the adjacent walls and have colour contrasting door frames. The decoration has been chosen to provide a quiet environment avoiding stark contrasts and harsh reflections. All light fittings and electrical equipment are served without trailing leads. The kitchen accommodates an airing cupboard with secure thermostatically controlled water heater. All exposed hot water pipes are insulated for user protection. All floor finish surfaces are non-slip. The balcony is accessed through patio doors from the dining area. The balcony is of wood construction with a safety rail, gate and three steps down to one of the patio areas of the garden. The kitchen is well-lit and has been practically designed to ensure safe access to all units. A fire blanket and fire extinguisher are fitted and a smoke alarm is fitted in the hallway. The lounge has the benefit of dimmer switches and reading lamps situated for increased lighting levels. There is digital TV and a DVD player. In the twin bedroom, one of the beds is about 6 ins shorter than a standard sized single. The bathroom has a shower over the bath; a suction bath mat is provided. Bathroom is well lit with additional lighting above shaving point and mirror. Public transport is available with a bus stop within 300 yards, rail service within 1 mile and a taxi service a phone call away.
