The cottage is a converted barn adjoining the owner's traditional long Welsh cottage which dates back to the early 16th century. The narrow, uneven approach (Lon Bwlch) is a private track, walled in places, leading to a small community of 5 properties. The location is designated as a landscape conservation area. Parking is at the entrance of the grounds to the property with a short path to the cottage door. Guests may prefer to leave their car at the entrance to Lon Bwlch; the owner or housekeeper would be available to assist guests on arrival and departure should they wish to accept this alternative parking. All the accommodation which includes lounge/dining room, well-equipped kitchen, utility room and bathroom are at ground level. There is a low step (approx 6ins) to the bedroom and ensuite (toilet, washbasin & normal size shower). The private and secluded garden enjoys spectacular views of the Snowdonia mountain range.
