Wales Holidays self-catering cottage visitors to Swansea and the Gower can buy local produce at Farmers Markets in February and March

8th February 2010

Shopping for fresh local produce direct from its producers is a rapidly growing food phenomenon across Wales. There's no better way to find out about your food than to talk to the people who grew it! The unspoilt natural environment and rich agricultural traditions of Wales lend themselves to abundant farmers' markets stacked high with produce.
For self-catering visitors to Wales Holidays cottages and farmhouses in the Swansea and Gower areas, these markets provide an opportunity to use local produce during their holiday – and also to take with them when they return home!
Mumbles Farmers Market, Seafront Oystermouth Car Park, 9.30 to 12.30 – Saturday 13 February and Saturday 13 March.
Pontarddulais Farmers Market, The Institute, 45 St Teilo Street, 9.30 to 13.00 – Wednesday 10 February and Wednesday 10 March.
Porthcawl Farmers Market, Arwel y Mor Community Hall (off Station Road), 10.00 to 13.00 – Saturday 27 February and Saturday 27 March.
There are also local produce markets at Clydach, Swansea Waterfront, Penclawdd, Sketty and Pennard on the Gower.
