Of course you want to bring your dog on holiday with you for a winter short break or a longer holiday (your dog will probably prefer the latter) as he’s part of the family! One pet is welcome at many cottages let by Wales Holidays and the good news is that there is no extra charge. One example in the Swansea and Gower areas is a cottage sleeping four in three bedrooms with a wood burner in the sitting room and French windows out to a decked area.
The garden at the rear of this cottage has decking on different levels (some gated), stepping down to a canal side sitting area; the tow path is on the opposite side of the canal, reached by a bridge some 300m down the road.
In spite of its watery location, one dog is welcome at the comfortable cottage and will hopefully enjoy the locality! There’s a large forest opposite, footpaths and waterfalls from the door, it’s on the National Trail ‘St Illtyd’s Walk’ and is close to the Brecon Beacons and Afan Argoed Country Park.
Travelling a little further afield, the coast at Aberavon is only 9 miles away and Swansea and Gower are within easy reach.
Please follow the Countryside Code and keep your pets under close control at all times; and please don’t leave them unattended in your Wales Holidays cottage.
Wales Holidays Reference is Y188.
