All aboard the 10.10 train to your North Wales Holidays self-catering cottage holiday!

11th March 2010

Wales Holidays have a number of cottages and farmhouses in many areas of Wales that are within easy reach of a railway station. So if you don’t have a car or wish to leave it at home, take the train!
For example, the 10.10 out of London Euston will set you down at the little station of North Llanwrst (north of Betws-y-Coed) at 13.53, just a short walk from a beautifully renovated Wales Holidays cottage.
For North Wales and Anglesey, Virgin Trains run out of Euston via Crewe to Chester; the services then head west along the North Wales coast to Prestatyn and Rhyl. The line continues to Colwyn Bay, Llandudno Junction and some trains then take the short branch to Llandudno itself.
Other trains follow the coast through Conwy and Llanfairfechan to Bangor before crossing the Menai Straights to run to Llanfair PG and across Anglesey to Holyhead.
Services on this route from Chester are operated by Virgin Trains and Arriva Trains Wales; this company also operates the delightful branch line that runs south from Llandudno Junction to Betws-y-Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog.
