Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside! Pick a Swansea Bay and Gower self-catering coastal cottage with Wales Holidays

9th March 2010

Although a small country, Wales is blessed with a staggering 750 mile coastline, from the long sandy stretches of the North Wales coast, around Anglesey, the Lleyn Peninsula, down through Cardigan Bay, beautiful Pembrokeshire, glorious Gower and the Glamorgan Heritage Coast.
Among the stunning range of resorts, beaches and coves, 38 beaches and 5 marinas (that’s 5 out of only 8 in the UK) have been awarded the Blue Flag status for the cleanest, safest and most unspoilt beaches and Wales Holidays has many properties within easy reach of these delights.
One example is this sea-front house on the promenade at Aberavon, 7 miles east of Swansea. Aberavon beach holds the Blue Flag award and is home to a range of watersports and other activities. A short stroll will bring you to a choice of restaurants and bars, multi-screen cinema, harbour, play areas and skate boarding on the sea front - and with 4 or 5 bikes available, you can cycle round to Swansea itself for even more choice!
The three-storey house enjoys beautiful sea views across Swansea Bay to Mumbles. It has four bedrooms (one ensuite) sleeping 7, two sitting rooms and a kitchen/diner with French windows to the enclosed rear garden.
Prices range from £251 for a three-night weekend break to £816 for a week in Peak season.
See Wales Holidays reference Y143.
