For self-catering visitors to Wales Holidays cottages and farmhouses in the Swansea and Gower areas, Farmers Markets provide an opportunity to use local produce during their holiday and also to take with them when they return home the freshest of vegetables, quality local cheeses, jams, honey and the tastiest of Welsh meat. The size of the markets varies from ten or fewer stalls to more than 40. Most take place once a month although some are more frequent. All will aim to have a variety of stallholders to bring visitors local meats, eggs, fruit and vegetables, plus bread, cakes and preserves made using local ingredients.
