Self-catering cottage visitors to Wales can find local produce at Farmers Markets in March and April

8th March 2010

For self-catering visitors to Wales Holidays cottages and farmhouses, Farmers Markets provide an opportunity to use local produce during their holiday and also to take with them when they return home the freshest of vegetables, quality local cheeses, jams, honey and the tastiest of Welsh meat.
No shrink-wrapped packaging, no unnecessary additives - just plain old-fashioned fresh produce. Once tasted, visitors will be back for more and will understand why some of the older generation say that modern food doesn’t taste as good as the old days!
The size of the markets varies from ten or fewer stalls to more than 40. Most take place once a month although some are more frequent. All will aim to have a variety of stallholders to bring visitors local meats, eggs, fruit and vegetables, plus bread, cakes and preserves made using local ingredients.
