Wales Holidays have a number of cottages and farmhouses in many areas of Wales that are within about half a mile of a railway station. So if you don’t have a car or wish to leave it at home, take the train!
For example, the 10.43 out of London Euston will set you down at the little station of Dyfrryn Ardudwy at 16.05 (you have to ask the conductor to stop the train for you!) just a short walk from a 4 Star Wales Holidays Bungalow.
For Mid Wales, North Wales along the Cambrian coast and Snowdonia, Arriva Trains Wales run the Aberystwyth and Pwllheli route from Birmingham International (connecting with Virgin Trains services out of Euston) via Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton, Telford, Wellington and Shrewsbury where there are connections from Crewe.
From Shrewsbury the service heads west into Wales, calling at Welshpool, Newtown, Caersws and on to Machynlleth. Here the train divides and two carriages go on to Borth and Aberystwyth and the other two head up the coast through Aberdyfi, Tywyn, and Barmouth to Harlech. Wales Holidays has a number of cottages and bungalows near a station on the North Cambrian coast.
From Harlech, the line turns west to Porthmadog and Criccieth to the terminus at Pwllheli. Again, Wales Holidays has properties near a station in this part of North Wales.
