Wales Holidays visitors to cottages in West Wales and the Swansea area who book a holiday at the end of June or early July will be able to attend the Pembrokeshire Fish Week 2010 and experience the very best of fresh fish and shellfish and the Pembrokeshire coastline.This multi-award winning festival takes place from 26 June 26 to 4 July and will have more than 200 events from gourmet tastings to cookery demos and talks, island rambles, adventure waterspouts, and many more coastal activities.
Pembrokeshire cottage visitors will be able to enjoy a Celebrity Master class with chef Valentine Warner, presenter of the BBC series ‘What to Eat Now' - or a feast of fish cooked by seafood champion, chef and proprietor of the Seahorse, Mitch Tonks, and friends.
As well as demonstrations and courses, food lovers can enjoy hundreds of mouthwatering opportunities to tuck into fresh, locally caught fish and shellfish.
Restaurants, pubs, cafes and bars have special menus throughout the week from seafood extravaganzas and fish tapas to freshly dressed local crab salads, and seafood chowders.
For outdoor-lovers, there are guided river kayak trips, eco-fishing adventures, angling competitions, windsurfing and sailing sessions and more.
Children can enjoy crab-catching, snorkel safaris, beach activity days, and seaside-themed art and craft sessions, while for music-lovers, there's jazz at Tenby Harbour, folk in Fishguard and a sea shanty night at Milford Haven.
