Visit Wales with a Wales Holidays coastal cottage and walk the Pembrokeshire Coast Path this spring

24th January 2012

Wales' first long distance route, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, was opened in 1970, since when it has been extended to cover 186 miles of the most spectacular coastal scenery in Britain. It runs from St Dogmael’s near Cardigan and North Pembrokeshire, all around the coast of Pembrokeshire to Amroth near Saundersfoot and Tenby in the south-east of the county.

Much of the route is at cliff-top level, providing superb views of the cliffs, beaches and offshore islands, with their wealth of marine and bird life. With its rich scenery and wildlife, its cliff top wild flowers and its wealth of cultural and historical diversity stretching from the Iron Age to the present time, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path provides something for everyone.

Taking on the entire route would represent an impressive physical challenge to any walker, whilst the path offers a tremendous variety of shorter day walks if you’re looking for something a little less demanding.

Wales Holidays is very pleased to offer many cottages within a mile of the path.
